The purpose of this overview document is to give you a highlight of the core features that are included in this release along with additional improvements and fixes that were also made.



HIGHLIGHTS OF IMPROVEMENTS & FIXES 


1. LABELS & TRANSLATIONS
We have released Phase 1 of the Labels & Translations feature. There are 3 phases to this development: 


Phase One: Edit label capability; provides a simple and basic way for users to manually edit any text or labels that are displayed for their customers on the front end that can’t already be customized elsewhere (available for all users and the only phase currently released)


Phase Two: Language translation capability; provides a way for users to add additional translations from pre-selected languages that Dashnex implements. The user would also still be able to edit the translated labels if they wish (available for PRO users only)


Phase Three: Translate products capability: provides the ability/option to add products in multiple languages (available for PRO users only) 



With this first phase, editing label capability, allows users to manually translate (or simply just change the text of) any labels that are not able to be customized already and can be found in the APPEARANCE > LABELS & TRANSLATION section on the backend of a store.


Within the Appearance tab, there is a new section called Labels & Translations. Here you will find all the labels that were not able to be manually updated prior to this release. We have organized the labels by page (homepage, product page, cart page, checkout pages, field, labels & buttons, upsell pages, thank you page, order status page, and also validation messages, and search & sorting labels). Please keep in mind that some labels are present across multiple pages and will only need to be updated once to be reflected appropriately everywhere.









When it came to developing this feature, we realized there are quite a few places within the store builder that allows users to change or customize the label of something. So, with this first phase we took everything that could not be manually customized prior and added it into this new section. This phase one release also allows us to continue moving forward with automatic translation capabilities and will share releases as they happen.
