Microsoft Merchant Center allows you to create a feed (which they call 'catalog'), that includes images and other information about your products, so that your products can display on Bing.

Product ads allow you to include product details such as image and price within your ads, delivering key information about the product offers that will help users make informed decisions before clicking on the ads (which often improves the conversions). Product ads pulls inventory from the Microsoft Merchant Center feed files that you submit.

Please note, if you do not see the Products Feeds action icon from your Products Dashboard, please go to the Marketing Hub and activate that first. Come back and the Product Feeds action icon should now be available on the Products Dashboard as displayed in the screenshot below.


TO START: Sign into your Microsoft Advertising account 

 

STEP 1: VERIFY & CLAIM YOUR WEBSITE'S URL VIA BING WEBMASTER TOOLS OR BY VALIDATED UET TAG IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY DONE SO

As there are two options for this and a few steps within each, please find the options for BING WEBMASTER TOOLS and UNIVERSAL EVENT (UET) TAG TRACKING here 

STEP 2: FROM YOUR MICROSOFT ADVERTISING ACCOUNT -- CLICK TOOLS TO ACCESS THE MICROSOFT MERCHANT CENTER 

From Tools, select Microsoft Merchant Center 



STEP 3: CREATE YOUR STORE 

Select 'Create store' 


STEP 4: DETERMINE THE EXACT WEBSITE DESTINATION URL 

Enter the necessary information, and from the 'Domain Validation' dropdown, select which method you used to verify your website; either Bing Webmaster Tools or by UET Tag 

The enter the complete URL of your store's website main page (homepage ) into the Destination URL and Save

STEP 5: UPLOAD YOUR PRODUCT CATALOG FEED URL FROM STORE BUILDER 

Once store is created, locate the 'Catalog management' tab and then 'Create catalog' 

Fill out the necessary information and from the 'Catalog feed file' section, select 'Automatically download file from URL' -- now we need to go into your store builder store and grab the SOURCE URL information 

From your store's product dashboard, find the 'Product Feeds' icon 


Once on the products feed page, you'll see that Google, Facebook and Bing (Microsoft) feed URLS are all automatically generated and ready to be copied 


Copy the Bing product feed URL from the store builder in the screen shot above and paste it back into your Microsoft Merchant Center 'SOURCE URL' field and add any other necessary information and then click SAVE
