Facebook Business Ads Account

For every store you will create, you want to use a separate Facebook ads account within your Facebook Business Manager.

Never use your personal Facebook ads account, make sure to create a business manager and create an account within that business manager.

Every single Facebook ads account comes with its own unique data and when you start an ad account, there is no data built into it. Using Facebook Pixels are a great way to gather data.

Facebook Pixel

Every single FB ads account gets a unique script called Facebook pixel.

The Facebook pixel is an analytics tool that allows you to measure the effectiveness of your advertising by understanding the actions people take on your website.

You can use the pixel to:

  • Make sure your ads are shown to the right people. Find new customers, or people who have visited a specific page or taken a desired action on your website.
  • Drive more sales. Set up automatic bidding to reach people who are more likely to take an action you care about, like making a purchase.
  • Measure the results of your ads. Better understand the impact of your ads by measuring what happens when people see them.

It’s important to always feed correct data into the pixel, otherwise the results might be compromised. In other words, don’t use it on any other website that is not the same brand.

It’s also important to note that you need to monitor what kind of websites are sending data to your pixel and exclude those that are not relevant to you.

Facebook Pixel Events

Facebook Pixel Events measures different activities that people take on your store's pages and then Facebook captures this data as what’s known as Facebook Standard Events format. You will see them displayed in your Facebook Events Manager like this:

All of this information comes back from your store’s website and feeds data into Facebook so then Facebook can analyze the data and give you better traffic.
